A Standing Ovation
Troy’s Neighborhood Arts
February 16, 2004
Dear Mr. Hedley:
On Friday evening, June 11th, 2004 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.., the Neighborhood Resource Center at 4th and Adams streets in Troy’s new Little Italy District will be hosting a Troy Arts Stroll, “A Standing Ovation,” to raise operating funds for the Resource Center. “A Standing Ovation” will feature more than a dozen performances by some of Troy’s art stars, including world-renowned flamenco guitarist Maria Zemantauski and the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company. It will take place in various historic homes along Washington Park, and will kick off at the Resource Center, which is located at 274 4th Street in Troy’s new Little Italy district.
Because of your pledged support for Troy’s Little Italy, we are writing to invite you to be the Honorary Chair of our event. As the distinguished Honorary Chair, your presence on the invitation will help us to grow our audience and support for this important Neighborhood Resource Center.
The Neighborhood Resource Center opened in January 2003 and serves six neighborhood groups, as well as any other Troy citizens in need of services. We hope to raise enough money to cover the basic costs of operating the center for one to two years at this event. This will also allow us to expand our services and allocate funds toward future programming. We greatly appreciate any support that you can give to the cause.
Activities at the Neighborhood Resource Center include:
In order for us to include your name on the event invitation, we need to receive your response by March 1, 2004. Please call 272-2408 if you have any questions. We thank you for your support!
